The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida brought a federal lawsuit against the Collier County Sheriff’s Office on behalf of an employee of the sheriff’s department who was repeatedly discriminated against for observing the tenets of the Hasidic Jewish faith.

Peery v. City of Miami

The City of Miami sought to dissolve the Pottinger consent decree concerning the treatment of individuals experiencing homelessness in Miami. On February 15, 2019, the district court terminated the decree. We appealed and filed our opening brief on September 13, 2019.
