Bill Tracking

We are monitoring hundreds of bills that span the breadth of the ACLU’s policy concerns. Below are the priority bills that we will be tracking throughout this legislative session.

SB 390 - Voter Intimidation

Requires law enforcement be stationed inside polling places while voting is taking place. Current law does not allow law enforcement to be inside polling places unless they are there for the purpose of voting or if they have the clerk’s permission.

March 4, 2025 Voting Rights

SB 1330 - Creates Barriers to Voter Registration

Creates more stringent requirements for registering to vote, and more burdensome requirements for in-person voting Imposes specific requirements for first-time voters in Florida, like presenting a U.S. passport or birth certificate prior to voting.
