Requires law enforcement be stationed inside polling places while voting is taking place. Current law does not allow law enforcement to be inside polling places unless they are there for the purpose of voting or if they have the clerk’s permission.

Creates more stringent requirements for registering to vote, and more burdensome requirements for in-person voting Imposes specific requirements for first-time voters in Florida, like presenting a U.S. passport or birth certificate prior to voting.

Among other things, eliminates volunteer petition collecting for constitutional amendments and increases criminal penalties for sponsors. Allows petitions to be decertified and challenged at every stage of the process, even after the amendment has passed.

Enhances voter access and election processes in emergency situations, specifically for Florida voters impacted by natural disasters like hurricanes.

This landmark legislation builds on key federal protections in the 1965 Voting Rights Act that have been eroded over the past decade by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Creates additional barriers to voting and registering to vote, and makes it more likely that eligible voters are removed from the rolls.

Makes it harder for Floridians to prevail on citizen-led constitutional amendments and undermines our constitutional right to direct democracy.

Clarifies medical exceptions to ensure that patients are not forced to carry nonviable pregnancies to term.

Repeals Florida’s current extreme abortion ban and prohibits physicians from performing or inducing abortion if the fetus is determined to be viable (sustainable outside the womb through standard medical measures).
