Unequal Justice for Youth
While school and juvenile justice impact all youth, certain populations are disproportionately impacted. In this section, you’ll find data and resources for advocating for youth of color, youth who identify as LGBTQ, and youth with disabilities. These populations must be considered in reforming school and juvenile justice policies.
- Examine local data to identify disparate impacts – then ask “why?” and look for contributing factors and potential solutions at each stage of the process.
