Senate Bill 642 moves Florida toward having a more equitable criminal justice system.

The passage of the bill comes only a week after a coalition of civil rights and immigrants’ rights organizations issued an alert warning Florida residents and travelers to anticipate the possible violation of their constitutional rights if the legislation becomes law.
