The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Foundation of Florida seeks a Senior Research & Data Strategist that works within the Policy & Advocacy Department to achieve the organization’s goal of protecting the liberties that define our democracy.

The ACLU of Florida, the state’s largest civil rights and civil liberties organization, employs litigation, public policy advocacy & organizing, and public education to protect and promote a broad range of constitutional values and individual rights, such as freedom of speech, racial justice, right to privacy, religious liberty, criminal justice reform, voting rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, disability rights, and immigrants’ rights. The ACLU of Florida litigates a broad range of complex constitutional cases in federal and state courts through direct representation, filing amicus briefs, and submitting administrative complaints to state and federal agencies.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Research & Data Strategist serves as a key driver of data-informed strategy for the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida (ACLU of Florida), transforming complex information into actionable insights that advance civil rights and civil liberties. This role leads high-level data analytics, reporting, and research efforts to support the organization’s policy, advocacy, and campaign priorities.
Work involves data management activities including, but not limited to, data cleaning, analysis, visualization, predictive analytics, polling and surveys, research, and data procurement. Position leads projects and project teams conducting such work and supports all manner of data analytics for staff engaged in ACLU of Florida public policy, civil rights, and advocacy initiatives.
Operates under limited supervision with significant autonomy, exercising initiative, innovation, and independent judgment in all aspects of the role.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, within the range of $60,000 to $81,000.
The ACLU of Florida provides excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance with
generous vacation, holiday and sick leave policies, professional development support, as well as an employer-matched Defined Contribution/401K Retirement Plan. Base vacation leave is 5 weeks per year (and six weeks per year after five years).
