Daytona Beach, Fla. – The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida Volusia/Flagler Chapter will host the third annual Constitution Day in the Park on Saturday, September 19th at Riverfront Park Pavilion. The event will feature a “free speech zone” where fellow activists can engage in open conversation, all while celebrating the anniversary of the U.S. Constitution.

The event serves to commemorate September 17, 1787, when the delegates to the Constitution Convention met for the last time to sign the U.S. Constitution they had created. These thirty-nine brave men changed the course of our nation’s history and built the foundation of civil liberties that the ACLU has worked hard to protect since its founding in 1920.
