Description

Throughout the years, Florida voters have repeatedly come together to add to the state constitution. Policies that have gone through this process include: voter rights restoration for returning citizens, term limits for politicians, and a $15 minimum wage. Amending the state constitution provides a direct avenue for Floridians to have their voice heard and give them the power to speak for themselves.

But what exactly is a citizen-led ballot initiative and how does the constitutional amendment process work? And why is the state currently advocating for making it harder for people to have their voice heard through this process?

Join us virtually on Thursday, March 13th, as we dive into the history of how Floridians have added to our state constitution over the years, and the challenges it currently faces.
