Increases the share of vote required to pass a state constitutional amendment to 66.67%.  This resolution makes it harder for the People to pass citizen initiatives that the majority of Floridians desire, thus further consolidating power and control in the state, and taking it away from the people.  When our leaders have ignored the will of Floridians, voters have been able to express their will through citizen initiatives and pass beneficial reforms that the majority of Floridians want and need: increasing the minimum wage, restoring voting rights, preserving the state’s land and water resources. This bill makes these types of beneficial future reforms nearly impossible.
