Howard Simon, Executive Director of the ACLU of Florida, will join Rev. Jesse Jackson for a series of public events in Orlando and Tampa today and tomorrow to rally opposition to Florida’s Voter Suppression Act of 2011 and encourage the US Department of Justice to block the Act in accordance with the 1964 Voting Rights Act.
The ACLU of Florida has asked Floridians to contact the Department of Justice and urge the Attorney General not to approve the Florida Voter Suppression Act of 2011 at: www.aclufl.org/Holder
