Criminal justice reforms are urgently needed in Florida. Dozens of other states have shown that common-sense bipartisan reforms can safely reduce the incarcerated populations, yet Florida has failed to pass similar reforms is nearly 100,000 people locked up in prison and over 50,000 in jail. With an important election in November and the 2019 legislative session starting in March – there are many things that normal Floridians can do to help ensure that justice is brought to Florida’s criminal justice system. Come hear from community leaders, policy experts, directly-impacted citizens, and law enforcement officials for comprehensive discussion about the state of Florida’s criminal justice system, how it can be reformed, and what you can do to help.
