ORLANDO, Fla. — All Voting is Local and its partners are hosting a community event in Orlando where voting rights advocates and faith leaders will denounce Florida legislation that further jeopardizes the freedom to vote.

The in-person event will focus on new anti-voting bills — including SB 524 and HB 7061 — that would establish even more barriers to the ballot box. Among other measures, the bills would create an unnecessary and expensive Office of Election Crimes and Security. Speakers will highlight the negative effect state legislative proposals are likely to have on Florida’s historically disenfranchised communities and the need to work on positive local solutions that expand voter accessibility.
