Pinellas Chapter 2019 Annual Bill of Rights Dinner and Chapter Board Elections

Join the Pinellas Chapter of the ACLU of Florida for our 2019 Bill of Rights Dinner and Chapter Board Elections. We are thrilled to be joined by Micah Kubic, the new Executive Director for ACLU Florida, who will discuss his vision for ACLU Florida and the important civil liberty issues facing Floridians.

We will also elect our 2019-2021 Chapter Board Members. Learn more about the nominees and how you can get more involved with the Pinellas Chapter on our website here. 

This year’s award recipients include:

  • Howard Simon, former Executive Director of ACLU Florida, will receive the Gardner W. Beckett, Jr. Civil Liberties Award.
  • Adam Playford, Kathleen McGrory, Neil Bedi and Eve Edelheit of the Tampa Bay Times will receive the Irene Miller Vigilance in Journalism Award for their work on the All Children’s Heart Institute investigative series, “Heartbroken.”
