Miami - Volunteer Advocacy Training

May 19, 2018 @ 1:00 pm

Are you ready to roll-up your sleeves and get to work with the ACLU? Come out to the Greater Miami Chapter's volunteer advocacy training on Saturday, May 19, and learn how you can take action in your local community.

Chapters are the ACLU's eyes and ears in our home communities. During these challenging times, take this opportunity to unite with your neighbors to make a positive change in the community.

This is your opportunity to learn how to effectively meet with your elected officials and testify at city commission meetings about the issues you're passionate about. We'll also teach you how to tell your personal story persuasively so that it has the most impact on the issues you care about. Learn about some of the challeneges we're facing and the issues we're following right here in Miami-Dade County and across the state. You will get the run-down on how our local governments operate and how to impact their decision-making.

We can't do this important work without your support. We hope to see you on Saturday, May 19!
