@ 8:00 pm

Join us on Monday, July 11, for a conversation with our Broward Chapter about abortion access in Florida.

We'll be joined by Vicki Toscano, J.D., Ph.D., associate professor of philosophy and legal studies in the Department of Humanities and Politics at NSU's Halmos College of Arts and Sciences.  Dr. Toscano will speak on reproductive rights law in the U.S. through the lens of constitutional jurisprudence and bioethical ideals.

Please join us as Dr. Toscano addresses the repercussions of the Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization and what comes next after Roe v. Wade has been overruled.    Dr. Toscano has published on reproductive rights law in leading legal journals in the U.S. and England and in a feminist bioethics journal as well as delivered several academic conference papers on this theme in recent years. She has also been invited to give talks to the community on a variety of related topics including the morality and legality of abortion, the death penalty, physician assisted suicide and medical marijuana. Q&A to follow.
