Pompano Beach - SCOTUS Recap

August 13, 2018 @ 6:30 pm
@ 8:30 pm

Earlier this summer, the Supreme Court’s term came to an end along with the tenure of one of the nation’s most consequential jurists — Anthony M. Kennedy. The 2017 term saw a decisive shift on the bench and the court decided on a range of historic cases that significantly expanded as well as contracted our fundamental rights. Interested in how the Supreme Court's decisions affect your civil liberties? Join our Broward Chapter on Monday, August 13 for a SCOTUS recap and Q&A session.

We will be joined by Dan Cook, ACLU of Florida and Broward Chapter board member, who will recap the U.S. Supreme Court term, in which the court issued major decisions impacting the religious liberty, police practices, immigrants' rights, and many more issues. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

RSVP to browardchapteraclu@gmail.com to let us know if you can make it.
