Zuri Davis joined the ACLU of Florida in August 2021 as Communications Strategist, Criminal Justice Reform. In this role, she creates media content and strategy to advance criminal justice reforms throughout the state. Prior to this position, she spent five years as a journalist at Reason Magazine and similar outlets. There, she reported on police abuse, wrongful convictions, and other failings in the criminal justice system. She is very passionate about reform both at work and in her free time. She volunteers with the Diocese of St. Augustine’s prison ministry and was chosen to be a mentor for PEN America’s Prison & Justice Writing in 2021. A Florida native, Zuri received a B.A. in political science at Florida Atlantic University.
