Samir Gupte is an agile, balanced, and compassionate thought-leader. He has over 25 years of experience in corporate, small business and non-profits with successful strategic planning, building highly impactful teams, transforming organizations, cultivating leaders and delivering results.
Samir’s accomplishments include leading the human capital strategy that doubled the size and profitability of an airport concessions company, achieving consecutive years of a rising position on Fortune’s 100 Best Places to Work list for the largest full-service dining company in the world, the integration of a $1 B acquisition, the start-up of a Latin America division for an industrial automation manufacturer, doubling the size and profitably growing an international hotel chain, turnarounds of a distressed polished- casual restaurant chain and a specialty materials manufacturing plant, profitably growing a small-chain of Gold’s Gyms and improving a fiber optics manufacturing department from the lowest to top operational performance.
He has held leadership roles in Human Resources and Operations with Corning, Rockwell Automation, Owens Corning, Choice Hotels International, Yum Brands! Darden Restaurants, OTG Management, and BrightView.
The diverse worldview he operates through has been shaped by traveling to over sixty countries and forty-seven states as well as significant community involvement helping state and Federal prisoners with reentry, assisting homeless citizens and children from disadvantaged neighborhoods build better lives for themselves, leading a local non-profit chapter out of receivership, leading a school-industry partnership and several board leadership roles.
Samir has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Masters of Liberal Studies at Rollins College. His thesis Reshaping the American Dream was published in 2012. He also studied Culinary Arts at Sullivan University.
He currently resides in Fernandina Beach, Florida with his two dogs, Bonnie and Clyde.
