HR, Diversity and Inclusion Manager





Rebecca L. Rojas Grimes serves as the HR, Diversity and Inclusion Manager for the ACLU of Florida.  She has over fifteen years’ experience in Human Resources and direct experience supporting race, gender, LGBTQIA+, and socioeconomic diversity in employment policy and procedure development.

Among her other work, Rebecca previously served as the Human Resources leader in several businesses within the non-profit, customer service and education sectors.  She has been successful implementing and establishing key policy objectives while meaningfully engaging all levels of internal and external workforces and clients, and looks to continue those efforts in support of the ACLU of Florida’s objectives.

Rebecca has been honored to be recognized as a leader in and served as a panelist for the National Diversity Council, which promotes as its purpose the establishment and increase of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and community.  She was a 2014 recipient of the Louisiana Diversity Council’s leadership award.  She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB), Employment Law section of the American Bar Association and has her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HRCI.

Rebecca holds a dual Bachelors of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in International Affairs and Modern Languages, as well as a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she focused on employment law and issued her two legal theses on expanding racial inclusion in the workplace and federal gender and LGBTQIA+ rights.  She also holds a Human Resources certification from Cornell University.  Rebecca is admitted to practice and was practicing employment law in Louisiana as of 2017.
