Luis Sorto joined the ACLU of Florida staff in August 2021 as Communications Strategist, Immigrants’ Rights. In this role, he creates communications and media strategies to advance immigration reform throughout Florida. Prior to this position, he served as an Account Executive at BerlinRosen, a strategic communications firm, where he supported clients focusing on immigration, criminal justice and reproductive health rights. He also worked at Columbia University’s Office of University Life where he assisted on university-wide communications projects around public health and racial justice. Following his undergraduate career, he obtained a fellowship with VOX Global, a Washington D.C.-based public affairs firm, where he supported campaigns dealing with access to education and workforce development. Luis earned his B.S. in International Politics and a minor in Arabic from Georgetown University.
