Jessica Throop joined the ACLU of Florida in October 2020, and was promoted in April 2023 to Senior Grant Writer and Administrator. With extensive experience in grants management, strategic fund development, and journalism, she most recently served as the Institutional Engagement and Grants Manager for an international humanitarian organization serving refugee and migrant populations in crisis and conflict affected communities around the globe.
A St. Petersburg, FL resident of 10 years, Jessica has been an active advocate in her community for racial justice and LGBTQ+ rights—volunteering with local and national organizations creating lasting change. She now utilizes her experience as a skilled grants professional to support and advance the critical work of the ACLU of Florida in its mission to preserve and expand civil liberties for all.
