Giovanni Sancho joined the ACLU of Florida in May of 2023 as the Grassroots and Advocacy Manager.

As a Hispanic growing up in the suburbs of Newark, New Jersey, he witnessed the multiple ways individuals were disenfranchised and did not receive the same opportunities as others because of their social and economic backgrounds. As a result, Giovanni developed a passion for politics and has been dedicated to ensuring every citizen receives equitable rights, regardless of their background.

Since 2016, Giovanni has worked on numerous campaigns and organizations, including with the Florida, Indiana, and New Hampshire Democratic Party Coordinated Campaigns, Pete Buttigieg in South Carolina, the Progressive Turnout Project in Florida, and most recently, the Outreach Team in Milwaukee.

Giovanni is a Florida State University graduate with a B.S. degree in Political Science and International Affairs, with a minor in History.
