Emmitt Fivecoat joined the ACLU of Florida as the Graphic Designer in May 2023. In this role, they create and refine visual content for the ACLU of Florida. Utilizing design strategy, they strengthen the reach of the communications team.
Emmitt believes that design can inspire action and when created intentionally can lead to change. Prior to this position, Emmitt worked with clients focused on furthering equity and inclusion in the workplace, as well as an emphasis on environmental sustainability. These clients have a global reach and were able to influence a large audience to refine their practices.
Emmitt was born and raised in Florida and completed their Associates of Arts from Santa Fe College before moving to Georgia to complete their BFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
