Eddy Brandt is a Legal Fellow with the ACLU of Florida since July of 2020. He received his B.S. at Florida State University, and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. As a law student, he spent summers interning with the housing, children’s advocacy, and immigration units at his hometown Legal Aid Service of Broward County. During school semesters, he volunteered with intake for a refugee assistance project, interned with a local immigration unit focusing on removal defense, and worked on asylum and SIJS petitions with the Legal Aid Society in New York. Following graduation, Eddy worked with Coast to Coast Legal Aid as a Pro Bono Coordinator, focused on providing legal rights’ information and access to justice for the South Florida community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
