Donn Scott Jr. is Statewide Campaign for Justice Organizer for the ACLU of Florida. He brings to the ACLU nearly three decades of professional experience as an organizer, community leader and entrepreneur.
Prior to joining the ACLU, Donn has worked in the non-profit sector in particularly with the employer development where he help people of low-income and people who are ex-offenders with finding employment opportunities. Donn has also worked in the private sector with All City Solutions LLC, where he created political events to help candidates as well as the citizens of Florida understand and get to know their local candidates.
Donn was born in Philadelphia, the oldest of three children to parents who endeared in him with a strong work ethic and sense of civic responsibility. He first visited the White House at five years old.
He earned a Criminal Justice degree from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and built a career of service to protect unions and workers’ rights throughout the nation. Donn has worked with various organizations and unions throughout the Tampa bay region and has earned him a reputation as someone who is deeply involved with community.
When he is not advocating for working people, Donn is volunteer co-host of the “Urban Café” radio show on WMNF 88.5 in Tampa, sits on the board of Northside Behavioral Hospital, and is actively involved in supporting local teachers and host an annual christmas party for all teachers in Hillsborough County.
