Issues of the Greater Tampa Chapter of the ACLU of Florida and the ACLU of Florida

The Greater Tampa ACLU Chapter is very proud to have the ACLU join the lawsuit in Sarasota County related to the integrity of the voting systems in the November 2006 US Congressional elections (http://aclufl.org/news_events/?action=viewRelease&emailAlertID=2256).

The Greater Tampa ACLU legal panel and chapter leadership are working on a number of litigations and considering other litigations to defend civil liberties in the Greater Tampa ACLU Chapter chartered geographic area.  Most of this planning and legal action cannot be presented on our web pages until it becomes a public record of the court.  Please see the ACLU of Florida web site http://www.aclufl.org/news_events/ for officially released information on some of our legal work.
