List of Communities in Florida that Have Passed Resolutions

Six communities in Florida have taken action against the USA PATRIOT Act. Some communities have passed local resolutions, others have written letters warning federal officials about the dangers of the controversial law that was passed in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The following is a list of communities in Florida that have taken action to oppose the USA PATRIOT Act:

• St. Petersburg: May 20, 2004
• Tampa: April 15, 2004
• Lee County: November 18, 2003
• Sarasota: October 20, 2003
• Broward County: May 6, 2003
• Alachua County: October 22, 2002
