In the footsteps of Gardener Beckett, these recipients exemplify an unflinching commitment to the defense of our constitution and it's guarantees of equal protection, due process, and simple justice. The Irene Miller Vigilence in Journalism awardis given to members of the media profession who have exemplified consistent dedication to the highest principles of freedom of the press and responsibility to the necessity of an informed public.
