Panhandle Chapter Panhandle Chapter Chairperson: Linda Armacost Contact: Susan Watson Welcome to the Panhandle Chapter of the ACLU of Florida, serving Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Please note that our work and resources are limited to the above counties. If you live elsewhere in Florida and need to contact the statewide ACLU of Florida office, please visit our state website at www.aclufl.org. We have three groups here in the Panhandle; the University of West Florida student group, the Escambia/Santa Rosa group, and the Okaloosa/Walton group. The UWF group is primarily made up of students and meets on the UWF campus. The Escambia/Santa Rosa group meets at 5:30 pm on the third Monday of each month at the downtown branch of the West Florida Regional Library 200 W. Gregory Street, Pensacola, Florida. The Okaloosa Walton group meets at 6:00 pm on the third Tuesday of each month at the La Rumba Mexican Restaurant located between K-Mart and Food World in the Oak Creek Shopping Center on Highway 20 in Niceville. The ACLU is freedom's watchdog, working in the courts, legislatures and communities to defend the individual rights and personal freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The ACLU is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. We are neither liberal nor conservative, Republican nor Democrat. Our mission is keeping the promise of the Constitution and Bill of Rights alive for everyone.
