What Can I Do NOW? 10 immediate actions you can take now to help protect civil liberties; reinforcing the values of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

  1. Become a member of the ACLU.
  2. Recruit three or more new members to join the ACLU.
  3. Sign up to receive email Action Alerts.
  4. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Help us spread the ACLU’s messages by ‘Liking,’ commenting on, and sharing our Facebook posts, and ‘Liking’ and Retweeting us on Twitter.
  5. Contact your representatives in Congress and the Florida Legislature (State Senators and State Representatives) and express support for the ACLU’s top priorities and efforts.
  6. Sign up to volunteer to assist the advocacy team on the ACLU’s top priorities.
  7. Get involved with your local ACLU Chapter; for example, help organize a public education forum on an ACLU priority issue. Find contact information for your local chapter here.
  8. Staff a table at a local farmer’s market, college campus or any community event to sign up new members and to pass out ACLU materials and information.
  9. Make a tax-deductible contribution to support the work of the ACLU.
