Chapter Happenings January 2002

Broward: Come meet fellow chapter members and help raise funds for outreach projects at a fund raising dinner to celebrate the ACLU of Broward's 20th Anniversary.  The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 10 at the home of chapter members Alan and Louise Scheib, 757 Crescent Way, in Weston.  The cost is $25 per person and includes wine and a light buffet supper. Tampa: The chapter is co-sponsoring a restoration of voting rights workshop in Polk County. The event, which is also co-sponsored by the Coalition of 100 Black Women and HELP, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. January 26 at the Hurst AME Chapel, 122 Avenue O Northwest, in Winter Haven. Treasure Coast: The chapter's annual meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 19 in the Chambers Room of the Koblegard Student Union Building on the Main Campus of Indian River Community College, 3209 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida.  For more information, contact Ron Urick via e-mail at mrurick@adelphia.net or by phone at 561-223-2027.
