Biennial Conference Set For Miami Beach
The ACLU 2001 Biennial Conference will be held June 14-16, 2001 at the Wyndham Hotel on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida. The event, which attracts more than 500 civil libertarians from across the country, will be the last official appearance of Ira Glasser, Executive Director of the ACLU for the past 22 years. Glasser, who will retire on July 1, will bid a final farewell to ACLU staff, board members and supporters during a keynote speech at the conference. Stay tuned for more info.
