Information for Pregnant Teenagers and Their Families in Florida

In June of 2009, the ACLU of Florida released The Legal Guide for Pregnant Teens in Florida, an all-inclusive resource for teens about their legal rights as pregnant and parenting minors. The guide was the result of collaborative work by several organizations and individuals, and was designed to address many of the issues faced by pregnant teens in Florida.

However, in the intervening time, the laws and policies described in the guide have changed significantly, rendering it inaccurate. In order to provide only the best and most accurate information to Floridians about their legal rights, we have taken down the original guide. We will provide an up-to-date guide which reflects the revised laws in the future.
